Sorry friends, no picture this week.I've been given a nasty cold and I'm just not up to it. The last couple of days have been hellish and all I want to do is sleep, but the kiddos weren't having that.On the brightside, my anatomy scan is scheduled in two weeks to see how the baby is growing. Today her little heart was thumping away at 143 pbm.Until next week... … [Read more...]

Major Meltdown

Well....it was inevitable....with hormones, my marriage, my insanely hyper children, having an awful cold, I had a meltdown today.I can't even say for sure what caused it exactly other than things just building up on me. You see, I've been hauling ass cleaning and doing laundry. We've got a realtor getting ready to take over the selling of our house, so it has to be perfect, which isn't easy to do with 2 kids. So … [Read more...]

Name that…

KITTY!!! That's right, we adopted a sweet little kitten. We were able to finally go pick him up today after his male parts surgery. Poor little guy has stitches they they shaved him.We picked him out Monday after a few trips to the Animal Control Center. He was the tiniest and whiniest of them all, definitely in need of a mommy. He's got the cutest swirls and stripes, weighing in at just over a pound at 7 weeks. He … [Read more...]

Dear Don’t Quit Your Day Job

When I come to a restaurant I expect to be a treated like the customer. I didn't visit to do your job for you, nor remind you how to do your job. In fact, I've never been a server, so I shouldn't know more than you.If you're having difficulty getting my drink order when there's only a handful of customers in the place, just let me know and I'll go get it myself. I shouldn't have to wait 15 minutes for a mountain … [Read more...]

18weeksbellyprogression

Here we are, almost half way there! It's funny how quickly pregnancy seems to breeze by and other weeks it feels like it's dragging on forever. I haven't quite reached the physically miserable point yet, but I know it's coming. The good news is my sciatica pain has lessened but something more disturbing has cropped up. I've had terrible migraines for 3 days straight, seriously no break even when I sleep. They are … [Read more...]

Our Trip to St. Louis

After getting off to a late start we finally made it into St. Louis a little after noon. I've said it a hundred times but I think it won't hurt to say it once more. The drive between Springfield and St. Louis is the MOST BORING 1 1/2 hour drive you'll ever make. We lived in St. Louis for about 3 years and each month I drove the trip back and forth to visit my parents, usually in one day.Anyways, once we arrived we … [Read more...]

St. Louis – Cancelled – De-Cancelled

We had a family day planned of heading down to St. Louis for a trip to the zoo, Forrest Park, all our favorite eating holes, driving through The Landing, and finishing off the night with the Hot Air Balloon Glow.ALL CANCELLEDWhy? Because my husband's job always manages to get in the way. You see, he's the Captain of a small police department here, normally … [Read more...]

17 Weeks

Preggo belly check in time! Tomorrow morning I'll officially be 17 weeks, almost halfway there. Time has actually gone much quicker than I remember, but in all honesty, I still don't feel very pregnant. For some reason, I can't feel this baby yet. I suspect time is getting closer for some swift kicks as lately I've been feeling little taps from within. She's definitely growing in there.Based on my picks from my last … [Read more...]

Manic Mondays

It's just another Manic Monday...ohh ohhh...wish it was Sunday...ohhhh ohhh...cuz that's my fun day..... well, you get it, we don't need a true 80's flashback. Point being, Mondays are always manic in our house. It is always my husbands last day off for the work, our son's first day of school for the week, usually covered in a doctor's appointment and endless errands we couldn't get done over the weekend. For … [Read more...]
