Wordless Wednesday – Dressed to Impress

There's probably a thousand words I could use to describe these photos but I'll just say, when not leaving the house, my 15 month old enjoys picking out her own wardrobe. She picks it, I put it on her, complete with baby legs, bloomers, her brother's shirt, and my toe socks. … [Read more...]

I can now rest easy!

After months of contemplating baby names, and even deciding on names at one point, we've finally done it. At first we had decided the names would be Hunter Reid or Savannah Sue. Then my husband got a hair up his rear and decided he didn't like the name Savannah anymore. This is after we found out we were having a girl at an early gender scan. Now that we have confirmation that she is indeed a she, I feel comfortable … [Read more...]

21 Weeks (and ultrasound)

ultrasoundfoot

It's update time! I'm now 21 weeks preggo and definitely starting to feel it. This precious little princess is wiggling all around, and growing so well. Today I had a doctor appointment and am happy to say I've only gained 12 lbs thus far...woohoo...I just may stay under 30lbs of weight gain again. During my visit we also had the anatomy ultrasound done. She's just perfect...everything measures as it should and … [Read more...]

Recipe: French Dip with Au Jus

frenchdip

This my friends is a family favorite, especially during the cooler months. This is an easy recipe that you can do in a roaster or crock pot. Today, I used the roaster. I chose this method because it has a faster cooking time. But if you've got all day, toss it in the crock pot. Both methods result in moist meat and great flavor! What you'll need: A roasting pan with lid and rack. Like this one found on Amazon … [Read more...]

Does this look like a boob to you???

I sure hope not, because it's my baby bump. Unfortunately, my 15 mo old daughter seems to think it's her personal giant size boob. You see, she weaned herself from breastfeeding about 2 months ago and since then my belly has doubled in size. Now she lifts up my shirt and tries to suck on my belly button (which for now is an inny) and then gets angry when she gets no milk. LMAO!I've tried telling her there's a baby in … [Read more...]

Ever have one of those days…

spaghettios

Ever have one of those days where... 1. You don't fee like doing dishes so you're left eating lunch out of a measuring cup? 2. Again, you're too lazy to fix any real food so you scavenge for an easy fix ending up with your son's spaghetti o's? 3. You have to then follow up your lunch with a dozen Tums because kid friendly soups aren't made for pregnant, adult stomachs? Yeah...that was much lunch and … [Read more...]

House Update

Well, the blue prints have been finalized, the building bids are in, and everything is ready to go.....except us. We've been slowly pushing back the build date because of financial fears. We've been through bankruptcy once, many years ago, whoever thought giving an 18 year old $10,000 worth of credit on a minimum wage job was a moron! We sank ourselves within 2 years of ever getting our hands on credit. It has been a … [Read more...]

20 Weeks

It's the official half way point! Yeah! I've been feeling down about this pregnancy lately, but today is the day to celebrate. The all day sickness is gone, the questionable bloat has been filled by a baby, and no *new* stretch marks as of yet.Even better, last night I was greeted by a whopper of a kick...the best feeling in the world! I was just laying there in bed, feeling a tad uncomfortable, so I put some … [Read more...]

Where’s my Head?

Wanted: Cat's Head Reward for Capture!I swear I have no idea what has gotten into me. This week has been less than spectacular and I made two big boo boos yesterday.1. My son just joined Cub Scouts. Yah for him! I'm proud of him for finally finding something to take interest in. We've tried just about every sport and well, let's just say athletics aren't his cup of tea. So we get him all signed up for Cub Scouts and … [Read more...]
