Nausea, Nausea..and more Nausea!

Please someone make it stop! I’m feeling so sick all day every day now and it stinks! In some absurd way I think my unborn child hates me. LOL

I started out with a tad of nausea during week 6, it went away for week 7, and came back with a vengeance for week 9. I’ve been drinking lots of tea with fresh ginger root which helps in the mornings, unfortunately it’s the afternoon and evenings that are killer. I don’t even want to eat because when I do it feels like a lump in my stomach.

The second trimester cannot come fast enough.

I feel your pain! I had HORRIBLE nausea with my 3rd baby. It hit about 6 weeks and lasted until 20 weeks. It was terrible. I was so sick I couldn’t do anything but lay on the couch and try not to throw up. I was at home with 2 older kids and when my son would have a poopy diaper I was in tears because I could barely change it. Holding my breath made me gag and smelling it made it impossible to change. I know one thing that helped me with nausea was to smell rubbing alcohol. They gave me little rubbing alcohol swabs to smell in the hospital when I got the stomach flu while pregnant and it stopped the puking. You should try it.

Oh, honey. BIG HUGS! I had it SO badly with this pregnancy as well. It lasted until about week 16, and I *still* have days where brushing my teeth makes me as sick as a dog. (Don’t worry, I still brush.)

I hope that soon you find some REAL relief from these. I sucked on Dum Dum suckers a LOT. As long as I had one in my mouth, I didn’t feel quite as sick.

I’m on baby #3 and assumed like the first 2 my nausea would be mild. I’m only on week 6 and can’t eat anything without vomiting or diarrhea. YUCK. I would have assumed baby #1 would bring on the worst bouts of nausea. Is this normal?

Karen, totally normal. TMI alert…but since getting pregnant I will go 3 weeks constipated followed by weeks of diareah…it’s nasty cycle thanks to all of the hormonal changes.

Sounds awful! I haven’t had any morning sickness with either pregnancy… I have lucky genes!!
