When Life Throws You Lemons…

cafepresslogo

throw them back! And that's exactly what I'm doing. Today has been a quiet day for me blog-wise because I got some extremely upsetting news at 11:45am. I spent the first 2 hours crying, then another two hours panicking, and now I'm just plain angry. Some of you may know that I'm work from home mom but I've never gone into great detail on what I do. Well, I'm a CafePress shopkeeper. Basically, since 2004 I've been … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday – Tug of War

tugowarwithcat

So little Miss Kaydence decided to get into my box of ribbon. I don't know who was worse, her or the cat? They ended up going back and forth for about 10 minutes tugging on the ribbon when the cat finaly dragged HER across the room. No one was giving up. Don't forget to drop the link to your Wordless Wednesday so I can come check it out. … [Read more...]

Heely’s will be the death of my son!

blackheelys

And will it be all my fault. You see, we were at JCPenny's picking up our son a new pair of jeans because he ripped a hole in his last hole-less pair. Then I decided he needed some new socks, which led to the shoe department. This kid's shoes aren't far from talking (you know where the front flops open like a mouth). So here we are checking out the shoes and they are all the "skater style". I'm not really into it but … [Read more...]

My Saucer Magnolia Tree and Flowers Multiplied

saucermagnoliatree

This was by far the best weekend of 2009, aside from the birth of my daughter, and being sick. A few weeks ago I posted about being down that we couldn't find a Saucer Magnolia tree for our yard. Well, we found one! We are officially no longer treeless. While out running errands we stopped by a local nursery and there it was...my magnolia tree, which actually looks more like a tall bush right now. We need to do … [Read more...]

Bring on the Tissues

tissuebox

You'll have to forgive me if things get a little quiet around here for a few days. Some unknown little bugger passed a nasty cold onto our family this past weekend. Both the girls and myself have the sniffling-sneezing-coughing-aching-stuffy head so you can't rest kind of cold. The worst part of it is my not even 2 month old baby girl has it too. And of course because some idiotic parent didn't bother to read a … [Read more...]

My Big Girl’s Bum

bumpain

Bum, butt, bottom, call it what you want, but my big girl's is in severe pain right now and I don't know how to help her. For starters, she has her mama's extremely sensitive skin. Every time she gets sick she ends up with the worst diaper rash, and I mean BAD. This week she got some kind of virus that had involved a high fever off and on and yes...diarrhea. I made sure to change her often so it didn't stay on her … [Read more...]

Baby Milestones and Co-Sleeping

milestone

I'm so excited to share my baby girl's first few milestones with everyone, too bad I keep forgetting to grab my Vado and record the moment. I'm one of those moms that likes to get email updates from parenting resources like BabyCenter. Every week I get an update letting me know the changes she's going through and what I should expect next. Well, rolling over from tummy to back wasn't suppose to be on the menu … [Read more...]

Life’s Little Speed Bumps

circus

I have to say, life in this house is like a circus, a new show in every ring, all going on at once, there's screaming, laughter, crying, smiles, seriously a circus. And I just found out I am NOT the ringmaster. I'm just one of the clowns trying to keep everyone entertained. My kids are running this show! It's basically been one of those days where if it can go wrong, it will. It started off by hearing the doorbell … [Read more...]
