Well, sort of of. It’s now more like 3 Kids plus 1 Fur-Kid and Us. Our big girl, Kaydence, is turning 2 in just a few days and I convinced my husband not to throw away his overtime money on a Power Wheels Pink Mustang that she would either crash or get tired of in two weeks. So what does he do…he buys her a puppy. Awwww…I know, it’s cute, it’s sweet, and it earned him the Sweetest Daddy in the World title.
So we’d like to introduce you to Kaydee’s birthday present and our newest family member that doesn’t require bottles or diapers.
Shelbi is a 7 week old yellow, Labrador Retriever. She’s also a 13 lb chunk. I know, because we weighed her hefty little bum when we went to Petsmart to pick up her supplies. This little girl is melting our hearts and already best buds with Kaydee.
And now begins our Adventures in Housebreaking, as if diaper duty and toddler tantrums weren’t enough to keep me busy. So far she’s doing great, I even typed out a nice and organized “puppy potty schedule”. It pretty much goes something like this – potty, play, potty, eat, potty, sleep, potty and repeat. Coincidently, it’s Emma’s (our baby) schedule too.

She is SO stinkin cute! Kaydence is going to LOVE her!!!
So cute. My husband wants a dog but I just don’t want to have to take care of another thing.
She’s absolutely adorable. She reminds me of our first dog!

She’s cute, but you’re right, it IS 4 Kids and Us now. If only kids were as easy to housebreak LOL.
Awww, she’s so cute!
Awwwww so cute! Dogs are so great for kids, they learn so many things from being compassionate to an animal. I’m looking forward to all your puppy shenanigan posts
