Aloha Friday #8

alohofridayAloha Friday comes to us from the blog, An Island Life. Each Friday I’ll ask a question and I’d love to hear your response.

If you’d like to participate, be sure to visit, An Island Life and sign Mr. Linky! All you have to do is post a random question for your readers.

This weeks question is…

What plans do you have for Valentine’s Day? If you haven’t made any yet, what do you hope to do that day?

I’ve left the details up to my husband. We’ve never actually “celebrated” the holiday in previous years because of lack of a babysitter or my husband working, but this year it comes a few weeks before our baby is due and I gave him five months notice to plan something really special.

No plans whatsoever. We will probably stay home because it will be hard to find a babysitter. We will go out for a nice dinner another day.

I usually make a nice dinner.

To go home early because traffic is usually bad.

My husband is fabulous in so many ways, but neither of us are traditionally romantic. He travels a fair amount out of the country, so I’m not sure if he’s in town on the day. When it works for us, we usually will go out to dinner a week or so after the big day.

  8. Sarah says:

Isn’t Valentines day still in February? I have got to finish January to even think about it :)

  12. We are going to have an “at home party.” I am going to decorate and use v-day paper plates and napkins with the kids, and get take out for our family, get balloons…etc. We are moving from Hawaii this weekend back to CA to be near family….so you never know…perhaps this will be the very first time we have grandparents that will watch the kids and just MAYBE we will get to go out to dinner!

  13. AJ says:

Probably nothing. We never really do anything.

  14. Cammi says:

Ha! We are just happy to sit on the couch together when the kids are finally asleep :)

I don’t have any plans yet…but since my birthday is the day before Valentine’s day, my hubby always does something sweet. He also keeps my birthday and Valentine’s day separate for me…which is really neat!

  19. angela says:

I think that maybe I will babysit this valentine day. You know it is my daughters first year with a baby so I may babysit with my granddaughter so her and her husband may go out

  20. Melissa says:

As of now – the usual – no plans. One year some friends and I dressed up as cupids and shot toy arrows at the passers by. Good times…..
