Child to Cherish – Keepsakes for Baby Review

About Child to Cherish:

cherish1Child to Cherish was founded in 1986 by designer Patrice Lowe, the mother of three boys. Her initial creation, a handprint kit in a tin, remains one of the most popular items in the Child to Cherish collection.

Over the years, Patrice has expanded the Child to Cherish collection to include the finest unique, yet functional children’s keepsake and gift offerings in the industry. Each item in the collection is developed to capture precious moments in time.

In 2000, Patrice was joined by her husband Gordon, and sons Tucker, Taylor and Cody as together they continue to create unique, innovative and lovely products that “preserve the innocence” of a child for a lifetime.

Mom Approved:

As moms, we all know how quickly that first year of your child’s life just flies right by. Sure in the first few weeks minutes can seem like hours, but next thing you know you’re blowing out a single birthday candle wondering when your baby became a little person. I just went through that myself last year when my daughter turned one. At that moment, I realized all of the little things I would never again see…her itty bitty hands, her first Christmas, that first smile…it all just went right by.

When our daughter Emmaleigh arrived I wanted to find a way to preserve those memories. After all, they only happen once and once they are gone…they’re gone! Child to Cherish wants to help moms and families keep those memories fresh and preserved for forever with their line of keepsake gifts. My personal favorite is the Tower of Time Handprint tins that preserve your baby’s handprints for the first 5 birthdays.

As your baby grows there are always those “firsts” you want to remember. For me, the one thing I remember having all through my childhood was my first piggy bank. It wasn’t exactly a classic pig bank but more like a 3 foot plastic Care Bear. The memories I have of slipping pennies in until the bank was too heavy to move will be with me forever. I want my daughters to share in this as well. When Child to Cherish sent us the stitched pink elephant bank I was probably just as excited as my daughter, Kaydence. For the past few months she has been stuffing loose change into our 3 foot tall Kansas City Chiefs bottle. But now, she has her very own bank to collect her pennies in.

Their ABC Collection is just amazing. I only wish they offered a 2nd set of these for older children (once they outgrow the baby stage. My sister had a set done for her youngest – my niece – and they match the Precious Moments collection we (the family) collectively started for Alyssa before she was even born. They are so well made that they look amazing.
