My name is Melanie Hurley, founder of Piggy Paint^™. I am a stay-at-home mom with two very fancy little girls, ages 2 and 4, who love to have their fingernails painted. I’ve always hated the thought of my kiddos putting their hands in their mouths after I painted their nails with traditional kid polishes. Not only did the ingestion of the chemicals worry me, but the smell nearly left me light-headed after painting two sets of fingernails and toenails.

Kid Tested

The balance in our house finally shifted with addition of our third child. Now we’re up to 3 girls against two boys which means lots of girly piggy painting time. Kaydence, our toddler, is definitely a girly girl and loves having her toes painted. Anytime she’s up for a little pretty time she comes running to me..”pink toe, pink toe!”

In the past I’ve been hesitant to paint anything other than her toes because her fingers are constantly in her mouth. Thanks to Piggy Paint being a “as natural as mud” and a kid safe nail polish we can enjoy all of the painting parties we want and not have to worry about her ingesting harmful chemicals.

The photo just doesn’t do the nail color justice. Piggy Paint sent us a sample bottle of Girlz Rule – a mix of dark pink with a slightly purple tint full of glittery sparkles.  Even though the bottle suggests 2 – 3 thin coats I think it looked great without looking opaque with just a single coat.

Piggy Paint gets a big thumbs up from me. While the paint isn’t completely odorless it does smell 10x better than regular nail polish. Plus the nail polish remover takes off the nail polish so easily without stinking up the house with that toxic smell you get from regular removers.

Our toddler is a nail biter like her mommy so I feel a  lot better about using the Piggy Paint on my daughters knowing it’s non-toxic and made with natural ingredients.

Mom Improvements

More colors! The current selection is great but I would love to see more colors because these are my new favorite product, especially with two sets of piggy’s to paint in my house.
