Getting the typical chores and cleanup done in our home is a chore in itself, so I often look to the newest technology to help with the tough jobs. Cleaning the carpets is in that category. Three kids and a husband running around the house with dirty feet, forgetting to take their shoes off, and a stead stream of guests really does a number on our area rugs and bedroom carpets.
One product we’ve never owned is a carpet cleaner. In fact, we’ve never even owned or used a Hoover product until last month.
From start to finish the assembly was much easier than I had expected and the cleaning process of the Hoover Carpet Cleaner has significantly simplified this particular chore. Washing, rinsing, drying, and spot cleaning was all taken care of by one product which not only saved me time but money. In a typical year we rent a carpet cleaner from the hardware store at least three times. So let’s add up the cost. $40 for 24 hours + $10 per bottle of cleaning solution + $7 anti-foam solution + cost of gas to and from the rental store all multiplied by 3 cleanings per year roughly puts the cost of renting a rug cleaner at around $200 per year. That’s half the cost of the Hoover Carpet Cleaner making it completely paid for within 2 years.
The end result? The Hoover Carpet Cleaner did the job just as well, if not better than any Rug Doctor I’ve ever rented.
Mom Improvements
All electronics come with a few faults but I have to say the Hoover Carpet Cleaner was quite impressive. The only problem area I had was with the trigger is very sensitive. At times I would let go of it not realizing I had and would have to go over areas again.
For those with small kids in the house you definitely won’t want to use this machine while they are napping because the noise level while in use is very loud.

The LiNX line would be a cobweb gobbler and a dauntless chaser of those errant bits of kitty litter trapped in crevices.
Awesome! My old carpet cleaner croaked and I’d love a new one. I could also use a new vaccuum and the Cyclonic Bagless Upright looks pretty nice. Thanks!
I subscribed.
The video was just wonderful. It showed exactly how to operate the Hoover Carpet cleaner. You did a great job. I checked out the Hoover Platinum Collection and would also enjoy the Cyclonic Bagless Upright. I have an antique electrolux (I think from the 1960’s) and one thing I hate is having to buy the bags. I’m always out of bags when I need one the most and with kids I seem to go through a lot of bags and it gets expensive. This is an AMAZING giveaway and would love to have the Hoover Carpet Cleaner. Thanks for Sharing this Fantastic review and giveaway~!
