Mom Approved:

kickproductAs much as I’d love to just hold my infant daughter every moment, it’s not always possible. My days are filled with busy errands and chores throughout the house. Sometimes I need to find a cozy spot for her to hang out while I get housework finished up. The problem is where do I put the baby? If she sits in the bassinet she gets bored easily and cries. If I a lay her down on the carpet, it’s uncomfortable and she cries. Then we found the solution – the Kickin’ Coaster from The First Years.

There are probably 20 or more different vibrating seats on the market, but I can honestly say that none of them compare to the Kickin’ Coaster. The one thing that really sets this one apart from the rest for me is the fact that it grows with your child. Most vibrating seats serve one purpose – a place to sit your baby for the first 2 months or so that vibrates them to sleep. That’s wonderful, but what if you want more? That’s where the Kickin’ Coaster comes in.

The sliding and cradling seat adjusts to the length of your child. As your baby grows, so does the Kickin’ Coaster with 8 adjustable positions. Emma at 5 weeks old is just an inch shy of being able to reach the kick pad base but loves the 2-step vibrating seat at the moment. You can choose between a soft vibration or one with a little more vibe to it that is great for helping with burping after she’s had a feeding. The seat settings are shown below so that you can see how much room Emma has to grow with the Kickin’ Coaster.

As Emma gets longer she’ll be able to work on leg muscle development by using the kick plate to slide the base along the glider. With each kick there’s fun lights in bright primary colors and entertaining music to engage her interest.

Some additional features making this the complete package:

  • two bouncy characters for visual fun
  • removable teething rattle
  • ideal from birth to 25lbs
  • multi-level volume control
  • soothing and playful music, 6 songs total
  • Watch the Kickin’ Coaster Demo Video to see it in action

Good news for moms… you know how you always ask friends and family to NOT buy you toys that make sound because they usually come in two levels: loud and louder, well The First Years was in tune with us on this one. The sound level is fully adjustable from no sound to just loud enough for entertaining your baby and saving you the headache.

Mom Improvements:

I wish the base had a setting one step closer to the kick plate allowing babies that are on the shorter side to join in on the kicking fun at a younger age.

Awww that is too cute. What a creative bouncer. NO more babies for me but that would make a fabulous baby shower gift for an expectant mother.

Hmm..I like it..but I already have a rocking chair that vibrates..and honestly if I bring one more huge child size apparatus into our house I think DH will have a tizzy fit :)

Cute idea though…wish I had one since Sarah is a little kicker.
Oh and I took her to the dr cause she caught a slight cold…and she weigh’s in at 8lb’s 11oz and is 21 1/2 inches long…my baby is getting too big too fast :)

My daughter LOVES it! I cannot recommend this enough. Not only is it fun for her, but it has helped her strengthen her legs to the point that she is almost standing on her own at 6 months old! Also, it really isn’t that big. One of the best things I have ever purchased.
