Every once in awhile I’m introduced to a baby product that clearly stands out in the crowd of squeaky, musical, vibrant baby toys. For instance, baby play gyms. I’m sure you’ve seen at least a dozen of them. They all start with the same basic structure, a soft round mat with two flexible arms overhead and little toys to dazzle your baby. None of my children have ever had one. Why? They lack creativity.
This week my 7 month old daughter, Emmaleigh, got to experience her first play gym! Learning Curve, maker of developmental toys that includes brands like The First Years and Lamaze, sent us a brand new product to try out with our daughter.
The Lamaze Space Symphony Motion Gym – loaded with features for baby to explore including ribbons, rattle, jingle, squeaker, crinkle, and a tummy time mirror. More notably, a feature I have yet see on any other baby gym – swaying arms that bring motion to the dangling toys.
To see what I’m talking about, watch in as I go over the features and of course, give my beautiful baby girl some face time on the camera.
The assembly took less than a minute and the flexible design makes it easy to transport anywhere in the house.
The swaying arms are a great attention grabber for Emma, but the music options leave me wishing there was a silent setting so she could enjoy the entertainment and I could enjoy some peace an quiet. Overall though, I really have to applaud the creativity in designing a play gym that stands out in the crowd.
