Move over Minivans, Mama’s got a New Ride

After the whole “teenage driver smashed my minivan to all hell” fiasco, I’m happy to say we finally have a replacement vehicle. We ended up with a Dodge Caravan rental for a week and spent that time researching the available vehicles in our area that met our needs and price. It was awful, we couldn’t decide on anything. Finding a car with enough leg room in the rear for our son’s long legs and wide enough to fit two car seats plus a growing boy…whew…the choices were pretty limited.

But mama has a new ride….a 2008 Dodge Charger in Dark Titanium…with low miles, warranty and actually fits all 3 kids quite nicely. I’ll admit, it doesn’t look like a “family car” but it’s a far cry better than my days as a minivan mom. It wasn’t my first choice for a car, but I could tell my husband really wanted it so this one of those battles I chose not to pick.

  1. Purdy! Wow you are gonna be one cool mama driving that thing.

Wow I’m surprised you went to the Charger. Although I like it.. I think I would have chosen an SUV instead of a car. However..you can fit a double stroller in the trunk and it’s a pretty nice ride. I was going to buy one before I had Sarah..But now with three kids..Kinda can’t do it since my sk’s are pre-teens and need to be seperated by at least three feet instead of just my youngests car seat…

Looks fabulous!!! I have a van and I’d love to trade it in for something much better. :p

  5. Cat,

Now, you can get back to a normal life. That car is kinda cool. Ever since becoming an SUV mommy, it’s been difficult for me to imagine life in a sedan. Hey, that car is really kinda cool!

Whenever you think about speeding, just remember your husband may be watching :) !

LOL True True….after my fair share of speeding tickets and “warnings” I’ve grown up, I’m very anti-speeding. In fact I’m the one people yell at to get the heck out of the way.

Love it! We just went from a minivan(HATED it) to an SUV (LOVE it). I almost went with a sedan of some sort, especially for the gas mileage.
