Adding a look spook to dinner around Halloween is always fun for the kids especially when you combine some of the foods you know they love. In this case, mummy like hot dogs in a graveyard of macaroni and cheese. To spook up the mac n cheese you could also add a little black food coloring.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 package of your favorite beef hot dogs
- 1 tube of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- Mustard for garnish
Let’s Get Cooking:
Step 1 - Preheat oven as directed on crescent rolls tube.
Step 2 – Unroll crescent dough on a non-stick surface and slice thin strips about 1/4 inch wide.
Step 3 – Wipe off excess moisture on hot dogs with a dry paper towel
Step 4 – In various directions, wrap 4 – 5 strips of dough around each hot dog leaving a small space towards the top.
Step 5 – Bake on a greased cookie sheet until the cresent dough is golden brown, approximately 20 minutes.
Step 6 – Allow the mummy dogs to cool before creating a little face with mustard or ketchup.
We served our mummies in a deep bowl of macaroni and cheese to make this a super kid friendly halloween dish.

I made this for my daycare kiddos for lunch on Friday. After explaining to them what a mummy is, they enjoyed them. They were even dipping them in ketchup and saying it was blood. I didn’t even got there. lol
