About Polliwalks

Polliwalks™ was born from the imagination of long time footwear designer and former toy designer, Joel Rusnak. He had the idea that children’s shoes should be fun and offer toy like features that will make wearing shoes a playful experience, while offering support, stability and comfort for little feet. Joel teamed up with his wife, and three of his long time industry colleagues, and together, they created Polliwalks™.

So what are Polliwalks?

They are fun animal inspired clog-style shoes for children. Aside from being insanely adorable, the bottom of each shoe features the animal footprint that your child can leave behind when walking through sand, wet pavement, even mud if they are so inclined. Made of closed cell foam, they are perfect for kids that get a little dirty now and then.

• Molded soft foam construction
• No waste manufacturing, excess materials from the molding process are recycled
• They may look like animals but they aren’t made from them. Vegan – no animals used in the manufacturing process.
• Easy slip on/off for children

Kid Tested

A fun pair of the Bubblegum Kitty Polliwalks were sent to my daughter to try out for herself. The first words out of her mouth when opening the package was “key key” (kitty, kitty) with  so much excitement I thought she was going to burst. I slipped them on her and off she went, bouncing through the house, down the driveway, just about anywhere you can imagine. If she could talk, I’m sure you would have heard a mouthful.

The first thing we both noticed, besides the adorable kitty face and soft interior, was how they put a spring in her step. She was literally bouncing everywhere she went because of the soft foam material. Words just don’t do this one justice. I’ll let Kaydence show you just how fun they are.

Mom Approved

Honestly, if they came in my size, I would wear them. I’m all about funky shoes. Aside from being a little snug, I love the fact that they are so fun for my daughter to wear. Not only that, they will come in handy during the wet days and our gardening time because the Polliwalks are made of closed cell foam which is so easy to wipe off with a damp cloth and waterproof.

I also really loved that these are slip on shoes. I don’t have to worry about Velco that wears out or shoe strings for her trip over. She can proudly slide them on all by herself.

Mom Improvements

I found that they were on the narrow side and would like to see them offered in wide sizes in the future. My kids are notorious for chubby feet that need that extra width.
