Reaching out to Moms

In this day and age there are a million and one ways to reach out to family, friends and other moms. You can pick up the phone, write a letter, knock on a door, send an email or connect through your blog. I tend to choose the latter purely out of convenience. Busy days leave me with little time to drive over to a friend’s house or sit down and write out a card, yet the computer is always here and willing to wait until I have a free moment.

The beauty of a face to face or phone conversation is the immediate gratification. You can pour your little heart out to someone and have a heartfelt response in seconds. Unfortunately, the same isn’t always true for blogging. Hours, days, even weeks might go by before you get one straggler comment. I know when I first started blogging I had a lot of empty topics. These days a topic rarely flashes the “0 comments” sign. I can’t begin to tell you how amazing it feels to know there are so many people out there that care about me enough to read about my life and take the time to leave a comment. It truly does uplift me to know I’m surrounded by such a loving community.

I wish everyone could feel the same and this week, I hope you do.

Here is the mission:

Leave the direct link to a post on your blog that has less than 5 comments. It could be something you wrote yesterday or last year. The only requirement is that the topic is not a review or giveaway. I want to read about you and your family. If you get the time, please visit the other bloggers that are desperately in need of some comment love.

And if you feel up to it, leave a comment below telling me and others how it makes you feel when someone is kind enough to leave a comment on your blog.
