Recipe: Frozen Key Lime Margarita

This year Jose Cuervo and TwitterMoms are hosting a “Cinco de Mama!” Margarita Twitter Party! Jose Cuervo will donate $1 to RADD (formerly known as Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving) for every RT that day. Up to 2,500 RT!

To get things started, I want to join in the fun by sharing a recipe from our Margarita Party last summer.

Frozen Key Lime Margarita for 2

4 tsp coarse salt
2 key lime lime wedges
6 oz Jose Cuervo Especial gold tequila
2 oz triple sec
4 oz lime juice
2 cup crushed ice

Place salt in a saucer. Rub rim of a cocktail glass with lime wedge and dip glass into salt to coat rim thoroughly, reserve lime. Pour tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and crushed ice into a blender. Blend well at high speed. Pour into a cocktail glass (or two).

This is my very “toasted” husband holding up his Key Lime Margarita at our party last year. This particular margarita was a big hit!
