Say it Forward Friday #1

sayitforward125x125There’s a lot of meme’s in the blogosphere, and I pick very carefully on which ones to participate in. This one, I could not pass up! 5 Minutes for Mom has started a new weekly meme called Say it Forward. The details?

Say it Forward is a new weekly carnival where bloggers feature their loyal commenters! Each blogger will write a post featuring one, two or three of their loyal commenters and then add that link to the carnival Mr. Linky at 5 Minutes for Mom. In the posts, bloggers can include photos, bios, interview questions or even quotes from their comments – whatever works best to turn the spotlight on commenters and show them how much we appreciate them taking the time to read and comment on our blogs. What if the commenter we want to thank isn’t a blogger? No worries! Shine that spotlight anyway! Share their comment(s), their name – anything you can to say THANKS!

This week I want to highlight my top commenter for the month of January thus far…

Asha from Sweet P’s Tutu Boutique

sweetptutu

Asha is the mother of a gorgeous little girl who just so happens to be the star of her tutu business, a blog writer, and offers tutus through Etsy! But what makes her extra special is all through that, she still has time to come by and comment on my blog. This month alone she left 24 comments…that’s more than one per day.

Just a few weeks ago I ordered one of her adorable Valentine’s Day tutus with matching headband for my daughter. Do you know what Asha did? She added this gorgeous purple baby blanket for daughter who is arriving next month. It was so sweet I almost cried (yes, my hormones are little nutty). Did she have to do that? No way…but it just goes to show you how kind and thoughtful people can really be, even people you’ve never met face to face.

Looking back, it makes me wonder if I’ve been as kind? I go through a lot of blogs a day but have I really taken the time to stop by her blog and see all of the great posts she has to offer…probably not as much as I should. I would really love for everyone to come stop by her blog with me today and give her a little extra comment love..she deserves it! Thank you Asha for being such a great bloggy friend!
