Plan early! Don’t wait until the last minute to buy supplies.
My tip would be plan way in advance, about Oct or Nov the school supplies go in deep discount, like pennies,so I buy for the rest of the year an plenty to start on the next year, they dont waste an just put them up an store until they need them, they will always need school supplies, you can get back packs an notebooks for like a couple of dollars,so watch the clearance aisles

One tip that we do is this – several days before school starts, we initiate the school “bedtime” and “wake-up” schedule so that the kids can ease back into going to bed and waking up earlier. Thanks!

We visit the school early and walk around. I also put pictures and notes in her lunch box the first week.
