Every Saturday a new topic is announced and you respond to each topic with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, or 6 photos, whatever your heart desires. You can check out the Small Talk Six announcement to see all of the pre-scheduled topics for 2009. Don’t forget to stop by and see this week’s responses!
This weeks topic is…
6 songs that you love to dance to when nobody’s looking
Lately I haven’t been doing much dancing, let alone walking because of this watermelon I’m carrying around but during my thinner moments here are my six.
1. Since the day my daughter was born, we shared a special song and danced together when no one was around or just wanted some mommy daughter time. It really breaks my heart that Israel Kamakawiwo’ole has passed on and won’t be able to share his beautiful voice any longer. This is “Somewhere over the Rainbow”
2. This is so silly but this is the first song I danced to as part of a mix for the Homecoming Pom Squad performance my junior year in high school. I still remember the choreography and dance to it when no one is around. Next – Too Close Embedding for this song is disabled so you’ll have to click for the song video.
3. Lil Kim – Ladies Night ….seriously don’t ask. LOL
4. 69 Boyz – Tootsie Roll … maybe after I have this baby and get back into shape I’ll do a little show for Funky Friday for this one.
5. Madonna – Material Girl - No explanation needed, this is one of my favorite songs ever to dance to.
6. Christina Milian – Us Against the World – My recent favorite beat.

I love Material Girl! It might be my favorite video still. I may even still know all the words. ;P
