In my 8 years of being a mother, I can say without a doubt one of the most difficult times for me is has been when my children first started walking. The wobbly legs, the ups and down, stumbles and tumbles. It’s a nerve wracking time! As proud as I am of our 8 month old daughter, Emma, I’m also fearful of her getting hurt on our hardwood floors. How We Use the Softspot

Since receiving the play mat I’ve found that it’s perfect for just about every area of our home.

Family Room – The hardwood floors present a hazard for our infant’s little head when she’s up and wobbling around. The large size of the pad – 4ft circle – covers so much area and really gives her a lot of space to crawl and play with toys.

Kitchen – While I’m busy cooking dinner, the Softspot has been perfect for providing her a safe a clean space to play at a safe distance from the stove. The bright colors of the Modern Dot CoziCover keep her attention to that area as opposed to the dull flooring. I felt so much better about her playing there while I’m cooking knowing she’s not picking up any floor germs.

While I haven’t been able to use the play mat outside due to the non-stop rain we have going on, I have a feeling we wouldn’t have room for complaints. The mat itself is covered in medical grade vinyl that is water resistant and easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Overall, the Softspot play mat has been an absolute blessing to have with 3 kids in the house. It provides a fantastic play space for all of them and folds away nicely into a corner at the end of the night.
