The Skinny on Sponsored Tweets

Bloggers are always looking for the next best way to make a little cash while doing what we love most…talking! One of the newest, and easiest ways I’ve found to earn a little extra cash for the holiday season is through Sponsored Tweets. By now, you’re probably already tweeting away on twitter so why not make a little bit of money while doing it. I do!

Sponsored Tweet Set Up Process

1. Sign up for a Sponsored Tweets account. You can sign in with your twitter ID to make the set up process easier.

2. You fill out the basic forms and add in a few keywords to get your account listed.

3. YOU set the price of tweets. Your time, and your audience is valuable, so don’t be shy about asking for a decent price per tweet. They also offer a suggested tweet price to help get you on the right track

Once everything is set up and ready to go all you do is sit back and wait for a notification. The best part is that you  have the right to accept or decline any tweet ad that you choose. Some advertisers even offer you the option of writing your own tweet while including their url.

SponsoredTweets referral badge

Personally, I love that they pay through paypal once you reach $50. It’s a pretty low cash out minimum in comparison to some of the affiliate programs I’ve been apart of. Now don’t think you’re going to get rich because if you do, this isn’t the program for you. But it will give you a little bit of extra spending cash if you have a decent following on twitter.

    Cat,

It’s bloggers like you who dispel the myth that the blogosphere is a full of “cats” (apologies) – selfish and backstabbing women who just like to fight and are always trying to one-up one another. You provide so much information for the newbie/regular blogger who doesn’t have a clue as to where to start or who has questions about how to make their blog grow. You’ve proven to be a great resource for me and I’m sure as well for others. For now, I’m doing well just keeping up my w/posts. I’ve got a Twitter account, but Twitter is just too fast for me :) ! Thanks for the info.

They did start out really slow for me too. I had one tweet after a month and now get about one tweet a week.
