I’m up to my ears in daily spam. Luckily most of it hits my junk folder and as much as I’d like to never look there, I have to. Occasionally legitimate emails end up there and I need to place them back in their rightful folder. But TODAY, I could take no more. The spamee (myself) decided to fight back and do a little spamming myself. Surprisingly, I have yet to hear back from Mr. Tyson. Darn! I was really hoping I could get a little help with the housework.

In fact, just for kicks, I’m going to make it a point to reply back to every spammer that takes the time to forward me their junk requests, million dollar prize claims and whatever else they are trying to sell. With a little humor of course. I mean really, maybe I’ll make someone’s day. They send out these thousands of emails hoping to hit at least one poor soul that believes this stuff and never get anything in return. Well, today is their lucky day.

When I first began to enter contests, I would get a dozen a day, mostly the “you won 5 million Euro dollars” from the Bank of Hong Kong/ Nigeria/ UK”…from Mr. Bright John/ Mr. John Bright…etc.
I began to mail them back, telling them that I have reported them…and to bugger off. I have gotten less, maybe 1 every 3 or 4 days, now.
Like Piroska, I get a lot of YOU WON! Emails, so I have to check to see if they are legitimate. Its highly annoying.
YOu are Brilliant… great idea I may borrow it.. Terrific idea.. Spam drives me crazy… I always want to know if anyone actually falls for those spam emails.. I am sure someone does otherwise the spammers wouldn’t do it.
