Just in case you’ve ever wondered with 48 hours worth of laundry looks like. To be honest, it will probably end up more like 96 hours worth because there’s still 2 more baskets hiding in the laundry room.
We spent the first 2 hours of Sunday organizing, separating, and stacking the laundry and managed to get 3 loads washed, dried, and hung. I’m hoping we finish another 5 loads by the end of Monday, 5 done on Tuesday and the last 2 (plus the newly accumulated laundry) by Wednesday evening.
Our initial plan was to just pack it all up and head to a laundromat but we couldn’t find one that was in a safe area. Being that my husband is a police officer we can’t just going hanging out in certain parts of the city, and unfortunately, we don’t even have one in our town (that I know of). Plus the idea of being trapped in a building with 2 kids running around and 1 that poops every hour just didn’t sound like much fun.
Then of course there was the snow issue. Yes, it’s almost April and we had a last minute snow, probably the latest one in the year that I’ve ever seen. This is the winter wonderland we woke up to.

You are officially my twin lol!!!
I thought we had a lot of laundry! I have maybe 7 loads every 4 days. Not even close to you!
Oh my! At first I thought it wasn’t real! I hope you have help. Thank goodness for washers and dryers – yes?
Oh my that’s a lot of laundry.
We hang dry all of our laundry so do some washing everyday. It would take me weeks to get through that much.
This is how I have been feeling with no sunshine to dry it stacks up!!!
Wow, I don’t feel so bad lol Moms that can relate for sure. I am sure my laundry will start looking more and more like yours since we are expecting baby #3 in the house this May!
Watch out, those kids clothes build up like you wouldn’t believe. Since Emma entered our house our laundry nearly doubled.
All I can say is “WOW”.
WOW I thought I had a lot of laundry but you have me beat! I don’t mind the actual washing and drying but the folding is the worst. I hope you have help?
I wish I did, unfortunately it’s just me and the hubs tackling it.
crud! That IS a lot of laundry! I thought my mountain of laundry was a lot
I hope you have lots of help. That is really cruddy you guys have to be extra cautious about where you’re going.
The stuff multiplies like rabbits. I think im finished and there are two more loads. Never ends!
Never-ending laundry here too!
Alright! How did u sneak in my house a take a picture of all our laundry? More like constant loads that seem to never disappear. I hate the evil laundry backup
Cat- im more amazed by the number of baskets pictured above- do you seriously own that many??? wow! i thought i had it bad with my laundry, but it only piles up after ive washed/dried- they wait forever to be folded and put away. lazy lazy me!
oh and about the snow- it can be horrible here too. They say in calgary if you dont like the weather wait 15 minutes- its always changing. A few days ago we went from springlike weather in the morning, to summer weather in the afernoon then SNOW in the evening. =(
That is a lot of laundry. Ever since I had my twins, that is all I have been doing. Feeding, changing and laundry.
Yay! Now I feel justified in all my laundry baskets. My husband thinks I’m nuts.
I can totally relate I have my in huge leave bags waiting to go to the laundry mat ! I do average 12 to 16 loads a week! I think if I took mine out of the bags and did what you have I might just have you beat ! It will feel awesome when you have it all done !
