Wordless Wednesday – Local View

localAs part of the new series I’m doing, Let’s Get Local, I’m focusing on capturing my life in the midwest state of Illinois, specifically Chatham and the surrounding areas. Today on Let’s Get Local, you get a peek at the view I get every day. At one time I lost appreciation of the beauty and serenity of living surrounded by cornfields and cows. It took 3 years living in the concrete jungle of St. Louis to truly appreciate my hometown.

Without further adew…a local view of Chatham and surrounding structures.

  9. Cat,

It is such a wonderful experience to live in such beauty. Before we moved, a few months ago, we were surrounded by strawberry and wheat fields and wouldn’t be surprised to see a peacock or coyote stroll across our yard. We now live in a small country town and are making plans to move back to the country (real rural) in our new home state. It’s definitely a great place to raise children.

You took some great shots. I’m lovin’ the cornfield and covered bridge.

We just visited the concrete jungle of St. Louis this past weekend and had a fun time pounding the pavement.

I love covered bridges. There are so few left. I know of 2 that were destroyed in our state in recent years. We lost one to a flood and one to arson.

  18. Louise says:

    Wow !
