Wordless Wednesday – The Reality of Pregnancy

I know it’s suppose to be wordless, but I couldn’t hold back…so here goes.

It’s one of those days…pity party time. Today I’m 33 weeks in, 7 to go. So how about a healthy dose of pregnancy reality for everyone?

I’m warning you, this picture that follows isn’t pretty. There’s no retouching, no airbrushing, not even a soft highlight to lessen the blow. This ladies is what 3 kids does to your body.

pregnancyreality

It all started with my second pregnancy. My first ended in a miscarriage at 26 weeks, just before stretch marks had their chance to settle in. I was pretty little (for me anyways), and my son was…NOT. That 9lb porker took a baby bump to a whole new level. He even went so far as to cause an abdominal muscle to tear because he caused so much stretching. I can’t give him all of the credit though, while he caused most of the damage, and Kaydence added a few more, this baby is getting seriously big! My belly button has turned into a turkey timer, the old stretch marks are turning purple, and expanding to my rib cage. Anyone wanna cry with me?

I’m on my first kid and already started to collect my baby memories. What a wonderful baby belly!

Don’t worry about it sweety! It’s so natural and you’ll always be beautiful! Remember nobody else can see your belly unless you show them…so they won’t know! I freaked with mine and cried and everything and I only had about 5 marks but thought it was the end of the world. I used to have such a pretty belly…not anymore! But the end result (the baby of course) is sooooooooooo worth every mark, scar and labboring scream! They’re such a wonderful gift!

  20. Aww – it looks painful but well worth it! ;)
