Bob Evans Fit from the Farm Menu

Starting off the new year with healthy goals doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice flavor or the enjoyment of having a family meal in a restaurant. It does mean you need to pay special attention to what you order though. To simplify the process, Bob Evans has created a brand new Fit from the Farm menu. With a great new selection that offers meal options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you’ll surely find something that meets your dietary goals without sacrificing quality.

From Bob Evans Sr. VP of Marketing, Mary Cusick:

Based on an average 2,000 calorie daily allowance, all Fit from the Farm dishes have:

  • 650 calories or less
  • 750mg or less sodium
  • 35 percent or less total calories from fat
  • Less than 10 percent of total calories from saturated fats (or 1/3 or less of the recommended Daily value for saturated fat)
  • 0g trans fat
  • No MSG

Guests who are following a 2,000 calorie daily diet could eat three meals a day off of the Bob Evans new Fit from the Farm menu and stay within those guidelines.

New Menu Items we Love

Visiting Bob Evans and even ordering take out is something we do quite often. The meals are simple, yet delicious and reasonably priced. On any given occasion our family of five can eat for less than $35. With the new Fit from the Farm menu, we can feel even better about ordering food out by leaving the guilt at home. My personal favorite is the Veggie Omelet that comes packed with vegetables and includes a fresh fruit dish and wheat toast, the only thing you have to leave behind is the butter, all under 300 calories.

Giveaway

One lucky family will win a Bob Evans Fit for 2010 Prize pack that includes: (1) $20 Gift Card, (1) Free Kid’s Meal coupon, (1) $2 off $10 purchase coupon, pedometer and jump rope.
