Every year, shopping for Mother’s Day is something I absolutely love doing. I would say I know my mom pretty well when it comes to gift giving. What I don’t like is trudging through several stores to find the perfect gift. To change all that, I skipped the mall, avoided the shopping centers and went straight to Sam’s Club. I know you’re thinking, “Sam’s Club? Isn’t that the bulk store?” And you’d be right, Sam’s Club has a lot of great bulk products but they also offer a lot of great non-bulk products for your everyday and special occasion needs.
Let’s take Mother’s Day for instance.
Just 20 feet inside our local Sam’s Club store I spotted the perfect Mother’s Day gift for my mom. Among the beautiful plants and shrubs lining the entrance walkway was this photo box planter filled with beautiful flowers and mixed greens.

It’s a perfect gift that combines a little spring beauty with a personal touch. Before Sunday, I’m going to sit down with my kids and print some family photos to slide under the glass on each side of the box. And I picked this gift up for less than $30! Although, I wish I had more to spend this year because I found a lot of great gift ideas lining the shopping aisles. We spent a good hour just browsing everything, picking up groceries for the week and even dropping some hints to my husband as we walked by the tables filled with discounted cookbooks and the shelves of flower pots.
Whatever your budget may be this Mother’s Day, you can visit the Sam’s Club Spring Website and check out the assortment of gifts available in store and online. Here are just a few of my top picks!
For the GREEN mom that likes to grow her own vegetables and herbs – the Upside Down Patio Garden is less than $60 and would make a great mother-daughter gift that you can give and enjoy creating together. (Hint! Hint! to my husband)

For the SENTIMENTAL mom that enjoys receiving beautiful gifts that make her feel special – the Mother of Pearl Flower Pendant and Silver Necklace would be a sweet gift that she can wear everyday to remind her of you. (Double Hint! Hint! to my husband)

Even if those gifts aren’t quite what you’re looking for, you can check out the Sam’s Club Spring Website and browse the selection of gifts available or download the Sam’s Club 2010 Spring eCatalogue for more great gift ideas.
So tell me … what’s on your wishlist for Mother’s Day this year?
I’m kind of hoping my hubby will pop back out to Sam’s Club and pick up some of the big, beautiful Hydrangea bushes they had to spruce up my flower bed. And maybe even do the digging and planting for me so I can relax.
Sam’s Club provided me with a $40 gift card for my participation in this campaign from April 26ththrough May 24th

The girls ALMOST bought that photo box! We also looked at that garden thing that grows the tomatoes upside down. I may go back and get that as well. It was pretty awesome!
Isn’t that adorable? It was fate to walk right in the front door and see that! I love that upside down garden too, hopefully my husband gets the hint. We have huge rabbits that will eat anything they can reach so this would be perfect for me.
I want that planter sooo bad! The photo box is awesome…why didn’t I think of that?
