Superbowl Snack – Cheese (Foot) Ball

Are you ready for some football? A Sunday night par-tay! (yes, I’m singing as I type this like the big goofball I am) Despite the fact that I have no interest in the teams playing in the Superbowl this year, it’s still an excuse to snack like crazy and dish out my favorite party foods for my family.

At the top of the list of our favorite Superbowl snacks…the ham n cheese ball! It’s classic, it’s easy and it’s soooo good.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 1 – 8oz box of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Kraft cheddar cheese crumbles
  • 1 cup of thick sliced deli ham, cut in small chunks
  • 1/8 cup of diced green onions
  • 8 strips of bacon

Let’s Get Cooking

Step 1 – In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for bacon.

Step 2 – Place bacon on a baking sheet and bake until crispy (about 20 minutes) at 400 degrees F.

Step 3 – Shape the cheese ball ingredients into a football shape and refridgerate.

Step 4 – When it’s time to serve the dish, crumble the strained bacon and carefully coat the cheese ball, serve with Fritos or your favorite snack dip cracker.

LOL I forgot to add, throw in a few extra slices of bacon for the ones you sneak and munch before they ever make it to the cheese ball.
