Toilet Training Tails

Tales, Tails, either word works perfectly for this little situation.

In the midst of our toilet training adventures, we’ve hit a few bumps that I just never quite experienced with my son. He was pretty straight forward, stand … aim … pee … shake … done! Easy as pie.

But now that I’ve got a girl on my hands, it’s like starting from scratch. Whatever knowledge I had of my son’s toilet training days is now rendered useless. Explaining the concept of where the pee comes from and how to do it was so much more simple, there’s an obvious extremity. But with our little Kaydence, she doesn’t quite “get it”..and there’s the added factor of toilet paper involved, and privacy issues, and sitting, and well…you get the idea.

It became quite clear to me this weekend that maybe I hadn’t quite explained the “disposing of the toilet paper” part properly.

Smack on the forehead! Lesson learned, for me at least.

I know she’s still young but as soon as Kaila was able to wipe her #2 herself (tmi) I used the Kandoo wipes. Actually we still do. They’re perfect for little ones. Although seeing her paper like that is too cute! :D

hahaha too funny! Good luck! I’m currently potty training my lil man (22 m), any advice you can throw my way would be greatly appreciated! :)

  3. Cat,

I keep trying to tell you that Kaydee is so much ahead of you. If I’m seeing the picture right, it appears as if she’s keeping it w/her so the next time, regardless of where she is, she can still wipe. Why waste time running to the bathroom?

  4. How sweet! Actually training a little boy, who told me 2 days ago, his diaper IS a potty! I think we are on the right track now!

  5. OMG, that is too funny! She is just the cutest little thing. Good luck with the training while you are on your trip, that will be tough! But there are TONS of potties all around Disney World!!

Now had the diaper ended up in the toilet..that would have been a real problem.

Haha, this is going to be me in a year or so. My son has been potty trained since last summer, he learned very quick! I am worried about teaching my daughter.
