32 Weeks

32weekspregnantbelly

I could swear I just did this post only days ago, but evidently it was a whole week ago. I’ve now hit 32 weeks! It’s scary how time is just zipping right by. Next thing I know I’ve got my birthday coming, Valentine’s Day, then the birth of my precious little girl.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day…I wanted to publicly declare that I asked my husband almost 4 months ago to plan a special day for us since it’s likely to be our last chance for some alone time before our daughter makes her debut. Four months! Now if Valentine’s Day rolls around and you find me here blogging, watch out because it won’t be pretty. That’s ample time for even the most “non-romantic” husband to plan something semi-special.

Back to the baby…well according to BabyCenter “With your uterus pushing up near your diaphragm and crowding your stomach, the consequences may be shortness of breath and heartburn.” Ha ha ha! No kidding? I’ve had the worst heartburn for weeks now. I can’t eat more than a small handful of food without it trying to reappear the way it went in. Each night my ritual is prop the pillows, eat 2 Tums, and pray tonight’s dinner stays put.

In other baby news…I do have one sigh of relief. My sweet mommy has offered to buy Emma’s car seat! I really did try to politely refuse but she insisted. I always feel bad accepting such expensive gifts from family, I guess I just feel like the financial responsibility should lie entirely on me, as I’m the one that created this little booger. There’s only one itty bitty problem. We ventured into Babies R Us to take a look at our options and they were slim pickin’s. Evidently, they are clearing out the 2008 line of car seats to make way for the 2009 line which uhhh doesn’t arrive until February. Nothing like waiting until the last minute huh?

I suppose there’s nothing really new happening. Emma is still kicking and rolling like a champ. One odd thing I’ve noticed is her wake-sleep patterns. Just like clockwork this little girl wakes up at 11pm every night to go on a 2 hour kicking spree. Is this my peek into the future of what her bedtime schedule is going to be like after her birth? I sure hope not!

Ooh, thanks for reminding me about the heartburn…we’re thinking about baby #2 sometime soon, but I keep backing out for some unknown reason. :) Your belly looks adorable!

I’m crossing my fingers for ya to hope that the hubby plans something special for you guys.

Your belly is so cute! My kids always woke up in the middle of the night and I was told that it was because I stopped moving or “rocking them” to keep them asleep. Good luck with the car seat thing. I had a Graco pink paisley one and it was so pretty! You should check out One Step Ahead.com they have some nice ones there.

How nice of your Mom :) I can’t wait to see what your husband does for you for Valentine’s Day. Last year my husband kind of forgot but made it for by getting me a laptop, lol
