Ever since the box arrived on our door step, my 3 year old daughter, Kaydence, has been bugging me to open up the Moon Dough Barn. I was admittedly hesitant, the thought of sticky, messy dough all over my house was not something I was looking forward to. So rather than experiment with this in the house we took the Moon Dough Barn play set outside during our afternoon play time.
First of all, Moon Dough is not sticky! The dough is actually light and airy, unlike any dough I’ve ever played with or seen. The cool part, unlike other doughs, Moon Dough doesn’t dry out and so the kids can play, remold and reuse.
The downside … Moon Dough is not mess-free so I would recommend taking this outside. We had the dough spread out all over our patio. We also found that once you mix the Moon Dough colors, there is no undoing this! But overall, it was really a fun little play set for our daughter that kept her entertained with molding farm animals.

We also got one and Kaila loves it. Even my husband was obsessed.
Looks like she can do it herself I was worried about Kai being able to but looks like Kaydee can.
Thanks for this! My kids have been wanting one and I was wondering about the mess potential and whether you could unmix colors.
You were wise to take it outside because it does look awfully crumbly! But I’ve never seen a farm in conjunction with modeling dough so that’s fun!
Cat, I completely agree. We made a huge mess with this. However, I had a blast playing with it. I almost forgot it was for Mariah and not me.
We couldn’t take ours outside because it rained for about 5 days straight here. I’m still finding bits here and there. LOL!!
Looks like she’s having a ball!
cute pics..I’ve never heard of moon dough-Cool! I remember as a kid how messy play-doh was lol
