Today’s topic is “6 of the Worst Films You’ve ever Watched” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .
I don’t watch a ton of movies, very few would actually be an understatement. Movies rarely hold my attention long enough to stay interested and I’m so critical of the acting and storyline, it’s just a waste of time. But what gets me more than anything else is when I do actually give a movie my attention and it turns out to be a crapper. For instance.
- Signs – Seriously? Crop signs and little gray men afraid of water.
- That stupid village movie that was so bad I can’t remember the name of it. The town scaring the youth into not venturing out…give me a break.
- Oh oh and The Happening. Give me a friggin break, wind blowing by and killing people, the whole movie was nothing but an agenda from the creator about preserving the Earth. I’m all for being “green” but don’t try to trick me into your agendas through entertainment, which sadly was far from entertaining.
- I am Legend should have been named I am Boring. Seriously, there wasn’t a bit of music in the whole film. If I wanted to watch some creepy scientist talk to himself all day I’d just sit back and watch the goobers on YouTube.
- Wild Hogs – All I’m going to say is that was a sad, sad moment for Tim the Tool Man Taylor.
- Norbit – Eddie Murphy was clearly desperate to get involved in such mindless, nonsense.
Incidentally, these all happen to be some of my husband’s favorite movies. When I said we were polar opposites I wasn’t kidding.
So let’s hear it, what was your LEAST favorite movie in say…the past 10 years?

I totally agree on The Village, but I did like I am Legend.
Aw, come on – I LOVE Signs! lol Mel Gibson might have something to do with that… and the little girl and boy were great actors.
Haha, it’s called “The Village” – and I like that one, too. Lady in the Water, though, I didn’t like so much. Oh, and that one where everyone was killing themselves because there was a virus in the air or something… *shudder*
I agree on the rest.
My least favorite movie… I think I have a lot of those. lol I didn’t like Castaway because it was sad.
Ha! I’ve only seen maybe one or two of those movies-I wasn’t a fan either >.<
My most hated, worst movie I ever watched was Fierce People. That is one DISTURBING movie(even for me, a horror movie junkie).
I havn’t seen ANY of those. I guess I’m lucky huh?
Yup, all these were pretty lame, but I think others stunk more. We try and push the duds out of our minds though.
Cat,
Dang girl! You’re a hard sell. I thought I could be cruel because I’ll bring a movie down in a minute. I’m a fan of M. Night Shyamalan. I liked the Village because it showed how easily people can be convinced of something that isn’t true. The Happening. I will never, ever, ever watch that movie again. I couldn’t get over people killing themselves and the way they did it. I can take or leave Signs, but it did get kind of silly towards the end as well as Lady in the Water. At least give him the Sixth Sense.
Hey, if you see Hudson Hawk, then you might want to throw your t.v., DVD player, or video machine out the window. There are others for me, but that awful movie has never left me.
I too cannot sit and watch movies as I lose interest very quickly. I’m all about girl flicks though! They make me laugh and they make me cry.
I’ve never seen any of those, but at least I’ve heard of at least half. I think scary movies are not my thing.
I actually liked The Village. Wild Hogs was kind of mindless fun, I just love John Travolta no matter what he does.
I really didn’t enjoy Benjamin Button very much and despite Matthew McConaughey Ghosts of Girlfriends Past was pretty lame.
I stopped watching movies long ago for some reason someone thinks that in order to be entertaining it must contain vulgar language, unnecessary, graphic violence and way too much sexual context … none of which are the kinds of entertainment I am looking for in a movie. Even the movies that I remotely liked cross the line. So I no longer see the point!
LOL I kind like Wild Hogs. It made me laugh.
Oh, I love movies! I can get lost in them for a little while & not have to think about anything else. The hangover is seriously hilarious! Grease & Sound of Music are still to this day 2 of my favorite movies. The 2 movies that I have seen that I absolutely hated? My Own Private Idaho (too artsy-even though River Phoenix was so good looking) and The New World (there was no dialogue & it just dragged on and on and on and on – we kept waiting for SOMETHING, ANYTHING to happen – nothing ever did! It was awful!)
my 2 cents
I thought Signs was Okay, kind of interesting. We liked I am Legend but really hated how it ended and it had some parts there were just not right. I haven’t seen The Village or The Haunted and from the sounds of it I’m glad!
I agree that Wild Hogs was pretty Lame-o!
Signs creeped me out and I just hated Norbit! Awful movie!
So I take it you are NOT a fan of M. Night Shyamalan???
I cannot believe no one has mentioned “Istar”????? That has got to be the worst movie ever made! Or I must be dating myself… oops, there I go again.
Never mind, everyone go back to what you were doing and ignore the graying woman over there in the corner…
I loved Wild Hogs! It had a good cast and sometimes for me some mindless humor is ok.
A favorite quote:
Woody Stevens: Dudley, you have to get rid of that or else I’m going to vomit in your lap.
Dudley Frank: Fine, I’ll hang it from a tree.
Woody Stevens: Don’t hang it in a tree.
Dudley Frank: Why?
Woody Stevens: Cause bears don’t eat sh*t!
LOL I didn’t like any of those, well Wild Hogs made me smile, but that’s about it
LOL I agree w/The Happening. I was not the least bit interested in seeing it.
