About TummyTubs
TummyTub® is a baby bath designed in the Netherlands by professional caregivers. The TummyTub is a new concept in bathing babies, the benefits of which are endorsed in maternity hospitals and homes throughout Europe.
- Womb-like bathing experience relaxes and reassures baby
- Stress free bathing for both baby and parent
- Helps with colic and gas
- Saves space & water
When I first saw the TummyTub, which I would describe as a “vertical bath tub”, I was intrigued by the concept. Most tubs that I’ve encountered were either small horizontal loungers that you place directly in your bath tub or large contraptions that required lots of space. The TummyTub and Stool Sets don’t fit into either category.
Baby Tested
The large tub accommodates babies as small as newborn and as large as toddlers. Our infant, Emmaleigh, at just 4 months and 14lbs fit comfortably in the chest level water with plenty of room for me to wash her from head to toe. The unique vertical and compact design made it so easy for us to use in any room and I love that the stool doubles as a tub base and toddler step stool.
Mom Approved
In the past, bath time has been a chore. Bending over the bathtub, transporting baby from room to room, trying to keep her warm in shallow water, it all inevitably leads to a crying and upset baby. Ever since we started using the TummyTub I’ve actually been looking forward to baths. With the stool, I can bring Emma to my level and with the smaller surface area of the water she able to stay more relaxed and warm in the water.
Mom Improvements
In the past two weeks that we’ve been using the TummyTub and Stool set we actually haven’t run into any problems that weren’t very minor. The max fill line could be marked more clearly or even have several suggestion lines based on the baby’s height/weight. We had to do a little trial and error when it came to finding the perfect fill height for our daughter.
Buy It

I saw these everywhere when we lived in Germany. I’ve always thought they look super cool but never used one. Now I want one for my baby girl!
I would be all over this if I had a baby again! So cool! I will definitely let my friends with new babies know about this. Great review. Thanks!
This is absolutely wonderful! I have seen these in magazines.. but it was so helpful to see you actually use it! I am definitely getting one of these for the next baby.. whenever that may be!
That tub looks so cool and the stool is so adorable. I’m telling you my next baby will have so many cool things (just from your reviews)
What a great idea, I bet this would make bathing time so much easier around here!
That is the coolest product I’ve ever seen! I so want one of those for our next baby! What a cute and creative idea! Great review on that Cat! Thanks!
What a great invention. We hated giving baths so much that we just shower with the kids. I’ll keep this in mind for our next kid (if and when there is a next kid)
I love this idea! I’ll definitely be getting one if there’s another baby in our future. My back used to ache from bending over during baths, so this looks like a perfect solution!
Those look so nifty, if I have another one I will definitely have to try one out!
Ok that’s pretty neat. My youngest would’ve loved that. I also love that Cozy Care cape. I get SOAKING wet at bathtime, what a neat thing. Great review Cat.
Great review–and I like your disclosure statement. It is so sad that we have to add these to our posts now, but I guess it is better for everyone.
That is so cool! I love the cape too, what a great idea.
That looks like a great necessity when having a baby!! Great review!
That is so cool. I never even knew those existed. I’ll have to look into them when we have our next baby.
The water level line has been improved on the mold. Starting in August the line will be easier to read. Yes, you do have to do some trial and error for how much water you want in the tub. Some babies prefer more than others. Enjoy!
oh I so need this next time around!
