When time is short and our family is in need of a quick dinner fix, we head straight for the smoked sausage. Our son thinks it’s pepperoni and we love the combination of sour kraut with a dash of sweetness to balance the flavors.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 can shredded sour kraut
- 1 tbs white sugar
- 1 package beef smoked sausage
- broccoli for the side
Let’s Get Cooking:
- Preheat skillet over medium heat and slice sausage into 1/2 inch slices
- Over a medium heat (5/10 on electric stove) brown each side of the sausage, no butter or oil needed, the sausage produces plenty
- Add in sour kraut and 1/4 cup of water plus 1 tbs of sugar
- Heat for about 10 minutes
- Serve sausage over the sour kraut with a side of steamed broccoli

My Hubby loves this
well take away the broccoli LOL
This is actually much better with brown sugar
BTW, I made your chicken casserole last night with a few modifications and am about to post about it on my blog.
