There are three little words that can melt a grown man’s heart.
There are three little words that can melt a mommy’s heart.
There are three little words that make every moment of parenthood worth it.
I love you!
Just two days ago my 2 year old daughter, Kaydence, said those three little words to my husband and I for the first time. I know my children love me, it’s a given, but to hear them express that love in words makes all the difference.

Isn’t that the sweetest? Makes you feel all mushy and you do whatever you can to hold back the tears.
Cat,
That was sweet. Isn’t that the coolest thing? I never grow tired of hearing those words spoken to me by my children. My three year old has moved up to telling my husband and me that we’re the “bestest mommy/daddy.” I still love “I love you” the “bestest.”
So sweet!
My fiance finally got my one year old to say I Love You about a week ago and it was the sweetest thing ever! Of course it sounded more like Lob Ew, but I’ll take it!
Goodness. I remember those moments with my 3. (How cool that you have video of it!) I have to rely on memory for those moments.
Still, it’s a wonderful feeling to hear that. Like the first time your baby learns that open-mouth “kiss” to express love. (but a lot less messy)

I love hearing it from my daughter – she says I love you too all the time, and also I love you SO much! melts my heart!
those are the sweetest words one could ever hear. I love it when my husband says it, my children and the best part is when my grandbaby says it
These are some of the greatest memories. Hearing that from your children is so joyful. I have some daycare kiddos who tell me that and it makes me smile every time.
Aww…that is so sweet! I love hearing that. We hear it every now and then from our youngest but it’s not very often.
That is the sweetest thing I have heard in awhile

Yep, that will melt even the coldest of hearts. I remember when Ro said it for the first time, I just squeezed her tight and took in the smell of her at that moment.
Awwwwwwww weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! So darn cute, Cat.

I remember that being one of the most amazing moments of my daughter’s little life. It truly did make my heart melt…and still does!

That is so precious! I know that when my little girl said it for the first time I about cried! It was almost as special as the first time she kissed me….oh what fun milestones!
OMgosh. Heart. Melted.
My almost 3 year old nephew said “I love you” for the first time about two months ago. It makes me so happy to hear my nephew say that.
Awe!! Brought tears to my eyes, especially today as my oldest is going off to Afghanistan tomorrow. Thank you for sharing, it really meant a lot to me!!
Hug her and love her, plus the other two, for a long, long time, they grow up TOO fast…
That always melts me too! So awesome that you caught it on camera!
Hearing a toddler say I love you for the first time is Heaven.
Oh man. How precious. It makes all the difficult times so worth it.
I LOVED my daughter’s first word. But what zi remeber FOREVER is her first out-loud laugh. It was amazing.
