Did you know moms can fly? Yeah, me neither until it happened yesterday.
It was just another typical day, me running around chasing children, getting everyone ready, dressed, clean, in car seats. No big deal right? Well, I got down to one child. Little miss crawling Emmaleigh. She was going every which way across our bedroom. I ended up running to the bathroom to grab a hair tie and just as I turned around to walk out there she was…right under my size 9 foot.
I made every effort to avoid stepping on her and ended up in some contorted move you only see gymnasts do. I jumped, twirled a few feet in the air, spun around, grabbed the foot board of our bed in hopes of breaking my fall. Just as I thought I had made it through safely my balance went haywire and I ended up crashing to the floor, still hanging on to the bed.
As I sat on the floor laughing over what just went on I looked at Emma to make sure she wasn’t harmed and was greeted with a face just like this…
Not a care in the world. I could have just squashed the poor girl like a bug and she almost seemed entertained by all of it.

Hahaha! Yes, I remember those days when the little ones would come out of nowhere. I’ve learned a few acrobatic tricks myself…never knew I had them in me. Glad you were able to laugh about it, lol.
Your baby has such beautiful eyes.
Awwww Cat hope you don’t feel that one tomorrow. OUch! wow DOWN TO ONE kid how nice that has to be.
Luv the photo. Your dd is just gorgeous. AND THOSE eyes…Beautiful.
Watch out for the big poutty lip Mama that one will get you every time.
I’ve done something similar to that too many times to count. *lol* Dawson always ends up right under my feet…and I don’t even hear him coming!
I loooove the picture! She’s adorable!
That is amazing…Flying mom. What color is your cape? Mine is HOT PINK!
That sounds like you are going to hurt tomorrow. Mommies are not meant to be gymnasts. I have done that a few times with the daycare kiddos but my problem is they will be laying on the floor on their stomachs playing and when I go to step over they lift their feet and wham, down I go. It usually scares the crap right out of them. My only injury has been sore muscles and a broken pinky-toe, twice. lol
oh yes maam I have flown a good number of times! Glad you are ok
I am in that same phase with my little one! She is soo fast! She will be walking before I know it! As I read your post, I saw it all play out! Too funny!!!

LOL Poor mama! That is by far the sweetest pic of little Emma! Could she be any cuter? I don’t think so!
Glad you’re both alright. lol
That picture is WONDERFUL!
What beautiful eyes!
My 7th month olds are not crawling yet but I do the gymnastics moves when our cats decide to get right under our feet. I really hate it when they do that while I am walking up the stairs.
That’s a face you could just eat up!! Too adorable =]
And poor flying mum-At least no one was seriously harmed!
Happens to me A LOT. My son is too quiet sometimes, I turn and BAM!
LOL!! I will have my own little one crawling around before I know it!! Due October 30th but I have a good chance of being induced this week due to preeclampsia. I find out tomorrow at 10am when my blood work gets back. I can’t wait to find out!! More than likely I’ll be induced this Thursday!!
