5 Fashion Tips That Will Keep You Cool All Summer Long

June 2, 2022 by admin

As the summer finally approaches, it’s getting warm enough to ditch your heavy jackets and oversized sweaters in favor of shorts and lightweight t-shirts. Summer is many people’s favorite season for fashion, with the most playful and stylish clothing often being designed for the warmer months. Although trends vary each year, summer is the time for classic staples that never go out of style. If you’re looking for a new wardrobe this summer or just want some style inspiration after months of leggings and bulky sweatshirts, here are a few tips that will have you looking and feeling cool all summer long.

Cotton Shorts

Ditch uncomfortable denim shorts and opt for lightweight, breathable cotton shorts. These come in a variety of lengths, styles, and colors, and are sure to keep you comfortable on even the hottest summer day.

Chacos

While many sandals or flip flops can be uncomfortable, Chacos are designed with maximum comfort in mind and can be worn on long walks or even hikes, while keeping your feet cool and being stylish enough to wear with any casual outfit. Plus, they are waterproof, making them perfect for an afternoon at the beach or pool.

Scrunchies

Throw your hair up on a hot summer day without causing damage and while staying stylish with a scrunchie. These hair accessories have come back in style in a big way over the last few years, and are available in a variety of colors so they can match any outfit.

Crop Tops

One of the most stylish and comfortable pieces of clothing for the summer is crop tops. These will keep you cool while showing a little skin, perfect for those wanting to show off a new tattoo from Certified Tattoo Studios. Pair this style with a pair of high-waisted shorts and you’ll be looking and feeling good all summer.

Sundresses

Beat the heat this summer while looking extra put together with a classic sundress. This light and airy style will help you stay cool on a hot day, and will help tie your look together with minimal effort. Pair with a cute pair of sandals and a scrunchie, and this will be your new go-to look of the season.

How to Survive Summer in Australia

August 9, 2018 by admin

Australian summers are just wonderful and many people dream of having a vacation there. There is huge number of options regarding beaches, regions, natural sceneries as well as activities. There’s a little bit of something for everyone. This is particularly satisfying if you are from the Northern hemisphere and have decided to escape the winter by fleeing to the Land Down Under. Not only will you be skipping the cold and tedious winter, but you’ll be doing it in one of the best vacation destinations in the world. However, there are dangers you should be mindful of during your vacation time as the heat is very strong and the nature has its own hazards. It’s better to be safe than sorry which is why we’re here to give you a few pointers:

The sun

Summers in Australia can get very intense in terms of high temperatures and sunburn hazards. This is why you need to have a bottle of water with you wherever you go. Please take this seriously, otherwise, the heat and dehydration can get to you anytime, and if there’s no water nearby, you’ll be facing serious health issues such as a heat exhaustion, cramps or a heat stroke. It’s very likely you’ll need urgent medical attention or you might even endanger your life. That is why you should also wear sunscreen and protect your skin wearing light clothes in order to prevent skin cancer and other serious problems.

The accommodation

Regardless of your choice of a place to stay, be mindful of the fact that nights in Australia can also be extremely warm. While some people can handle high temperatures and the heat at night, others cannot sleep in a room that is too warm. That is why installing air conditioning in Sydney is a routine thing. Don’t let this tiny, yet important issue such as the lack of AC ruin your vacation. Make sure your rented house, hotel or hostel has a functioning cooling device, otherwise, many sleepless nights await you (and we do not mean in a good way).

The beaches

Australia has numerous amazing beaches, both wild and refined. Naturally, you need to be careful when swimming anywhere. Be honest with yourself. Are you a great swimmer, an OK swimmer or an insecure one? The answer will tell you how careful you need to be at the beach. Make sure not to leave safety areas or not to go far away from the shore if you’re on a wild beach. Many people drown during the summer all over Australian beaches and the issue needs to be taken seriously.

The roads

Given that Australia is a country of huge vastness and just a few cities, it has many roads where you can drive full-speed. However, that doesn’t mean you should. It’s easy to hit the gas pedal and get lost in the scenery. There’s generally not much traffic most of the time, especially if you’re going through some remote parts, but you should still be very careful as there are all sorts of drivers out there whose driving you cannot control. This is why you need to do your best to be alert at all times.

The camping

Since the country is full of wonderful natural sights, it is a great candidate for many picnics, as well as for camping. This sounds like a lot of fun and it really is. However, Australia has all sorts of dangerous wildlife and you should only camp in the areas that are secured and where camping is allowed. Another important remark is that there is a very strict fire restriction in Australia during the summer. The heats can be very strong and the amount of wind makes it very easy for a fire to spread out of control. Also, the fines are quite high, so you need to remember that lighting a fire is an absolute NO.

In this article we were focusing on the hazards and potential issues that you might encounter during the summer in Australia. Have these safety measures in mind and try to stick to them. Of course, don’t get obsessive, as long as you stick to the basic rules, you’re most likely to stay safe and have the great enjoyable vacation you’ve been fantasizing about.

Road Trips With Kids – Tips For A Stress Free Trip

December 17, 2017 by admin

Source

Road trips are always a family favourite for a number of times of year. Whether it’s Christmas and you’re hitting the road to see family and friends in another town or it’s summertime and you’re looking for that great way to spend the warmer months doing something fun and exciting with the kids. The downside is that road trips aren’t always all fun and games and you can be left pulling your hair out when the kids get grumpy or bored and begin to whine and complain. From making sure your tyres are in good shape with www.tyreplus.co.uk to a must have list for road trips, here are a couple of great tips to keep the kids happy, and you stress free during your upcoming road trips.

Take Appropriate Snacks

Everyone knows that long stretches on the road can be hard on everyone, especially younger kids with tons of pent up energy. Add to that the issue surrounding hunger and you have a recipe for disaster when one of the kids starts going on about how hungry they are. You just know the others will chime in too. Stave off hangry attacks by packing high protein, healthy snacks like peanut butter on celery, cheese and crackers, cut up fruit and vegetables and the like. Cut up fruits and vegetables makes it easy to eat as finger foods meaning you don’t need to do much prep, just whack the food in some ziploc bags or reusable containers and off you go!

Bring Entertainment

Boredom on those long lanes of country road can really take a toll on your children’s attention spans and moods so it’s important to pack enough things for them to do. Consider getting your kids involved in the selection process, letting them pick the specific toys, videos or games they want to bring so they are actively a part of the team in ensuring they stay happy during the trip. Consider getting travel versions of favourite games like Guess Who and Scrabble or Chess. This can help keep kids entertained for hours playing with siblings. You can also think about loading their iPads with a whole variety of games they can enjoy on the road.

Take Frequent Breaks

Taking a lot of breaks to allow for washroom stops and stretching the legs and the like. Taking enough breaks to get everyone out of the car will help keep spirits and moods high and will also help maintain your sanity by getting the kids out of the car to run around for a little while in between legs of the journey. Try taking a break every hundred miles or every two hours or so to ensure you get some stretching and bathroom breaks in. Not only will it make everyone more energised, but it will help keep everyone comfortable and therefore less likely to get grumpy on the road.

So if you’re heading out with the kids this season or any season in the next year, keep it simple and easy and remember lots of breaks, snacks for all and fun and games to make sure everyone gets to your destination happily and in good spirits.
