The Gift of Prophesy is a Gift from God

May 5, 2017 by admin

Source

A prophecy is words from the Lord, spoken by a human being. If a prophetic message is authentic, it is true that this is a message directly from the Lord. And that God is speaking to the world through that message and through that messenger. And that message is intended to be applicable to what is happening or going to happen here on Earth. So in that respect, the message is divine and Earthly as well but delivered from God.

Renown Pastor of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet TB Joshua stresses that his gifts including the gift of prophesy would not be possible if they weren’t from God. “If my mission here is not of God, it won’t stand just as Gamaliel said.”

The receiver of the message has an obligation to deliver God’s word and can add something to the message, something of their own that enhances the message but does not alter it. The receiver can also decide how best to communicate the message again as long as it is done with the acknowledgement that the message is a word from the Lord; that God is speaking to us through that message.

So anyone who prophesies must take responsibility for how they prophesy. On this point God does not give an option. He does however understand that the human vessel is imperfect and that these imperfections might alter or dilute the message.

So why does God use these messengers knowing of their weaknesses?  The answer is actually simple. When a strong person does something that he can normally do, it is usual. However, when a strong person accomplishes something more than what is normal, it can lead to pride, because the strong person feels he was strong enough to accomplish this on his own.

But when a weak person does something that typically requires the strength of a strong person, as a Christian, you require God’s help. This person must stay humble and ask the Lord for the strength to get it done and in doing so, God gets the glory. In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV, Paul said, But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

So the gift of prophesy is given by God and those who accept it and use it, will not automatically become strong, in fact their weakness will bolster their closeness to God because they will have to lean on him more for understanding and guidance and support.

And in this respect and many others, the gift of prophesy is truly a gift from God.

How to Learn to Play Guitar

May 5, 2017 by admin

I have wanted dot play guitar since I was little and through either lack of motivation, fear or lack of time, I had never got around to it. One of my best friends Elvis Dzebic had played guitar for my years and a couple of years ago I asked him how he thought I should start learning, at this stage I had not even bought my first guitar.

I was well aware that I was never going to become the next Page, Clapton or Hendrix and it turns out that I was right, I have however, improved greatly in those couple of years and here is how I got started.

Acoustic First

One of the best pieces of advice that my friend gave me was that I should start out with an acoustic guitar instead of an electric. I was unsure at first, I had dreams of stomping on the wah-wah pedal as I crunched though some AC/DC but that dream had to wait. I took my friend’s advice and you should too. The reason for this is that playing an acoustic is much tougher on your fingers and it helps you to better learn the craft of strumming and fingerpicking, you can disguise bad playing on an electric, you can not on an acoustic. Once you have played the acoustic well, you will find that playing the electric is incredible easy.

Daily Practice

Although it can be frustrating at first, you need to ensure that you are practicing for at least one hour every day. You will find that with daily practice, your finger flexibility gets better and that you will improve a great deal in a short space of time which is great to keep you motivated.

Learn to Read Tablature

Unless you can read music then you should try to learn how to read guitar tablature so that you can learn your favorite songs. Tablature is really easy to read, far easier than learning to read music, as each finger on your fret hand is given a number, the tablature has six lone resembling the strings and it shows you which number, or finger, to place on each string. If you want to learn your favorite riffs or songs then the best way to do so is to learn tablature because there is thousands of guitar tabs online which can help you learn.

Go Blues

Blues is where the guitar has its roots and if you want to become a better player then you should invest some time learning some of the blues scales. These scales are often the origins of many songs and if you can nail down the scales then whenever you have a variation on them in songs, you will be able to perfectly adapt. Blues scales also work really well when it comes to keeping your fingers nimble and flexible and they are also a great deal of fun to play.

There is a great difference between simply setting up your own blog and being a great blogger like Haris Ahmed and today we are going to talk a little about how you can be a successful blogger.

Creating Quality Content

The first thing that you need to look at when you want to become a successful blogger, long before you need to think about how to get people to your site, is to create high quality content. Your content should pertain directly to what it is that your site is about, it is always important to stay within your niche. Whether you are uploading photos or writing articles to your blog, you need to put yourself in the position of someone who has just arrived at your site, what do you think about the content, would you read it? Would you find it interesting and informative? Ask yourself this question and ask the question to friends or colleagues to ensure that you are writing high quality content.

Putting Yourself Out There

Nobody has ever created a blog, filled it with information and had 10,000 views the first day of going live, it simply isn’t possible and if you want people to see what you are doing then you need to go and tell them about it. The best way to do this is with a strong SEO strategy and also through the usage of social media. Social media gives you great access to hundreds of thousands of people in the click of a button, it also helps to grow your reputation as people will share and comment on your stuff online, this is another reason that you want to create high quality content, your reputation may depend on it.

Making Contacts

One of the best ways that you can boost the popularity of your blog is to make connections with other bloggers and influencers within your niche. What you are looking to do here is to create a strong community within your niche where you can benefit each other mutually. This will involve you sharing each other’s posts and ideas, mentioning each other when writing about something and ultimately helping each other out with followers and with promotion. The more contacts that you have like this, the more opportunity you will have to grow your business and boost your blog success.

How to Make Money From Photography

May 4, 2017 by admin

There are lots of different hobbies which people have managed to turn into a successful career and one which we are going to take a look at today is photography. It is pretty rare that you will find anyone working in the field of professional photography who does not love what they do, something that cannot be said for many professions out there.

One person that I know who is a professional photographer and a photography fanboy is my buddy Joshua Manocherian, I have envied him for years as he has made his way through the photography world, doing what he loves and making a decent salary along the way. Let’s take a look then at just some of the ways that people can make a living from their love of photography.

Weddings and Events

There is a lot of money in wedding and event photography and people are will to part with quite a chunk of cash to have their special moments captured. Wedding photography in particular is something that many photographers will specialize in and it is a great business because there are always people getting married. When it comes to events, businesses fro example love to have their big days captured and again, are willing to pay top dollar for a professional photographer to spend the day at their event, capturing great moments.

Teaching

There are many photographers who are making a good living from inspiring others and teaching amateurs how to take better photographs. This can be done in a number of ways, some like to give classes in person and charge by the hour, others will give classes across the internet for a fee and some will upload tutorial videos to video sites like YouTube. Those who use a video sharing site can make excellent money from advertising revenues should there videos rack up a high number of views.

Selling Photos

The real money for any professional photographer is in the selling of their photos to newspapers and magazines. There are indeed many photographers who have a great skill in a particular field of photography, nature, sport, people etc. who have struck up great relationships with a variety of magazines and used this to make a great amount of money from regularly selling shots to them. Publications much prefer to pay for freelance photographers rather than hiring their own full time and this gives many the chance to make a great income from selling their snaps.

Blogging

Blogs present many with the opportunity to make great money from advertising once they are receiving plenty of traffic to their site. It is always recommended that a blog should be about a niche topic and photography certainly ticks that box. Photography sites that seek to build a community, show off excellent photographs and include tutorials or guides can become very popular indeed. Blog owners can use this popularity to sell products, make money from affiliates or even earn money from renting out ad space on the website.

Ways to Best Care For Your Autistic Child

May 4, 2017 by admin

Source

In the United States alone, one in every 68 children are born with ADS or autism spectrum disorder, a condition which can put a great deal of pressure on both parent and child. Thankfully, as a result of the hard work done by people like Chris Manente, there is more support out there for autism than there has ever been before and more charities who are dedicated to helping those with autism than have ever been registered in the past.

With this additional support for parents of children with ADS, living with a child who is suffering is not as complicated as it once was and research has given us lots of great information for how best to manage children with ADS. If you have a child who suffers from autism then here are some top tips on best caring for them.

Create a Safe Zone

Such is the nature of autism that there will be times when your child needs to go to a safe space in order to relax and calm themselves down. You should try and have a bit of fun with this and include your child in the design of their ‘safety zone’. Experts say that having a tranquil and calming environment for your child will help with the child and the parent when things get a little fraught.

Watch For Triggers

It is important as a parent that you keep an eye out for triggers which could cause your child to feel under pressure or bewildered which could result in a tantrum. Over the years you will be able to spot these triggers and intervene before things get out of control. Often it can be something as simple as hunger which your child feels that could cause them to get frustrated and watching out for non-verbal signs will help to ensure that you can avoid problems before they arise.

Keep It Routine

Experts often describe those suffering from autism as perceiving the World to be in chaos, your job as parent is to do your best to add some normality to this chaos. You can best do this with a strict daily routine that you will stick to each day. Don’t consider any part of the day to unimportant, whether it is the time that your child goes to bed, watches a program or takes a bath, ensure that each day, they do the same as the day before, this will greatly help your child to stay in control of their emotions.

Treat Them As A Child

Many professionals in the industry have been speaking recently about the importance of still treating your child as a child and not as a patient. You will of course need to treat them differently in some aspects but over and above everything else, they are a child who likes to have fun and learn just like any other child. It can be easier said than done, but try your best to avoid treating your child as anything other than what they are.
