How to Dress Your Child for Their First Fancy Event

December 14, 2016 by admin

For most parents, taking their child out to their first fancy event is a moment that is approached with both nervousness and enthusiasm. You will be wondering whether they will be in a playful and fun mood or if they will be fidgety in a busy environment. Even though there can be some minor worries, it is important to remember that this is an exciting little landmark for you and your child. When choosing how to dress your child you’ll want an outfit that will make them look cute and stylish, and these following tips will help give some ideas for how to go about this!

Suited and (Baby) Booted

This choice is something which is for boy’s outfits. If his first fancy event is a wedding or an event which requires them to dress formal, then there a fewer choices stronger than a suit, as it is a wonderful way to dress the little guy up. The best choice can be to give them a three-piece suit as this looks very cute on a child! Also, rather than giving them a tie to wear, a good choice can be to give them a little bow tie that can easily clip on to their shirt to make the little guy look dapper.

Dress Her Up

When choosing an outfit for your little lady, there really aren’t many choices better than a lovely dress. For the colder weather, a good choice can be dress them up in a large fluffy dress with some tights underneath as this would keep her nice and warm, and in the summer you could choose a frilly frock covered in and flowers and maybe a matching headband.

Sports Luxe

When you have young children who are spending a day out, one of the big issues can be to make sure they are comfortable – and when they are dressed up in a suit or dress – this isn’t always the case. One of the ways to overcome this is by going for a smart/casual outfit, and the sports luxe trend is one of the best ways to pull this off. So if you want your son to look nice and trendy, think about choosing brightly coloured bomber jackets worn along with a shirt and tie underneath to create a real trendy-indie look.

Jewellery

A great way to make your child look really fancy for the event is to give them some nice jewellery to wear. For a girl, it can be very cute to get them a simple necklace to wear. For a boy, something which can look really smart and cute is putting a little pocket watch they can wear that can be attached to their shirt or blazer.

To Sum Up

Really when it comes to dressing your child up, there are a number of different outfits you can go for. Really, when it comes down to it, they will probably look great in whatever outfit you choose to dress them up in and your it will really come down to personal preference, but these ideas should help give some guidance!

Top 4 Essential DIY Garden Maintenance Tips

December 13, 2016 by admin

Maintaining that fresh and vibrant look for your garden can be tough to keep on top of – especially now that the winter is well underway. That being said, over the next month or so the weather will once more start to improve and there will be more chances to get back into the garden to start tidying up your space. So what are the top ways to keep your garden looking great? To give you some help, we’ve put together these 4 DIY tips that don’t require masses of effort to keep it looking neat and tidy!

  1. Keep It Hydrated

When using the term hydrated, this doesn’t mean giving your lawn and flowers a once over with the garden hose, though Flexogen garden hoses are a great choice – it means that your soil needs the right amount of water according to your plants actual needs. Less of a worry in winter but certainly more of one in the summer, brown leaves and rotten vegetation are signs of flowers and plants drying out. Alternatively, sodden soil and excess water means you might be going overboard, so make sure you’re giving them some time to recover. If you have shrubs or plants, then you can look to get a sprinkler installed to make your life that little bit easier.

  1. Weeding & Pruning

Overgrowing bushes and hedges can make your garden look messy and out of sorts so keep on top of them. Go around your garden and inspect every inch of your space, cut those weeds off at the root to stop them from damaging the health of your flowers and popping up in between your flags. A great tip you need to get on board with is setting up a compost bin or pile at the back of your garden. This is a great place to dispose of those dead leaves and vegetation in a safe and environmentally friendly way. Furthermore, it allows you to produce your own, rich in nutrients soil, saving you money and helping your plants to grow quicker in the future.

  1. Furniture Care

When it comes to your outdoor furniture, it’s important to not neglect it. Whilst it’s made for the garden, it will need some TLC so if it’s looking unclean or a bit worn, maybe it’s time to give it some attention. If a seating arrangement made from wood, then make sure you top up the pieces with a bit of paint or varnish. If it’s a cane furniture suite your working with, then a simple wipe down and brush is enough to keep the sofa set looking great. As obvious as it sounds, your garden furniture can affect the look of your garden just as much as your greenery so don’t neglect what you have.

  1. Add Some New Flowers

Putting in some new flowers, shrubs or even a new flowerbed is a great way to maintaining that fresh, vibrant and exciting look. Choose colours that compliment your gardens aesthetic and colour scheme and don’t be afraid to experiment with new kinds of flowers to keep things interesting. Just make sure you follow the right care guidelines so they don’t die on you after a week! Such a simple and cheap change, adding some new flowers is easy to do and can have a massive effect on making your garden look great.

Off The Mainland: Best Attractions On Malta’s Islands

December 6, 2016 by admin

Malta is becoming an increasingly popular destination for travelers from all over the world. However, when many book their trip to this fascinating and vibrant country, they make one fatal error: only booking for the mainland.
The country of Malta is, in fact, an archipelago, which houses three main islands: Malta, where most opt to stay, Gozo, and the tiny Comino. If you have booked a trip to Malta but haven’t considered escaping the mainland then be sure to consider these following attractions!

The Blue Lagoon – Comino

With a name that immediately inspires pictures of hot sun and tropical paradise, the Blue Lagoon is a spot that can’t be missed. This tranquil azure pool provides bathers with a truly luxurious way to enjoy the heat of the summer.

Sheltered from potential storms and bad weather, the bay promises calm and clear waters all year round, which has also made it an increasingly popular spot for divers. The one drawback is the beach that lines the lagoon is relatively small comparatively, so be sure to get down early and secure yourself the perfect spot on the sands.

The Azure Window – Gozo

Perhaps the most beautiful natural spectacle in the whole country, travelers will miss out significantly if they fail to allot the time to head over to the island of Gozo and visit the Azure Window. The window itself it a spectacular limestone arch that reaches out into the sea. It was said to be the result of a vast cave system collapsing.

Although it’s no longer possible to explore on top of the window, due to erosion, there are plenty of companies who provide boat tours or there is a great view of the feature available from the shoreline. The nearby Inland Sea and Fungus Rock are also worthwhile attractions to check out in this area.

Rabat – Gozo

Known also as ‘Victoria’, this historical city is the capital of Gozo and its many winding streets make for a quaint and picturesque hotspot that all travelers should visit. The center of the city, known as the Citadel, is awash with fascinating history. With its earliest settlers dating back as far as the Neolithic period.

Here you can find Bronze Age fortifications, developments from Phoenician and Roman invaders and spectacular Aragonese and Baroque architecture. In fact, the ancient city reads almost like a tapestry for the diversity of rulers Malta has seen over the years.

St Mary’s Tower – Comino

Standing alone atop the hill, this wonderful little sight is brilliant and must be appreciated.  It can be seen from both Malta and Gozo, and is a key feature of the country’s charm.
The tower was originally built in the 1600s as a tower to keep watch over the bay. It was still in use right up in 2002 and today it provides spectacular views over the bay. Just north of the tower is the Comino Barracks, which were used as soldier quarters during the Second World War.4

Although spending your trip on Maltese mainland will provide with equally as many exciting and historically reverent attractions, it’s highly recommended to take at least a day to visit the country’s other islands. You won’t be disappointed

With the right school supplies, the sky is the limit for young minds

December 1, 2016 by admin

these-children-at-a-school-in-turkestan-city-are-participating-in-a-national-reading-day-725x544

These days, running a school is not too dissimilar from running a business. Your assets are the children in your care, there is a reputation to exceed or uphold and a Board of Governors to whom the school is responsible, and if that wasn’t enough there is a budget spreadsheet to balance.

In and amongst the myriad of activities that happen within the school environment each and every day, it is worth remembering the small cogs that turn the big wheel.  The ordering of school supplies is vital in order to keep the school a fully functioning, vibrant and engaging environment in which children can learn and flourish.

Allowing children to reach for the sky

School supplies covers a plethora of equipment including furniture, play equipment, classroom resources, classroom storage, cloakroom storage, nursery rugs and classroom carpets. Yet there are also a wide range of other ancillary products such as sensory toys, soft play equipment, art & craft supplies and curricular based supplies which allow you to turn any room into a safe, productive and fun learning environment.

Keeping a watchful eye on the budgets however is of no concern to the children. Children of nursery or primary school age are far more likely to be concerned about what they can create in the sandpit or rifling through the dressing up box to find someone they can be for the day. Whilst their priorities for the day are likely to be far removed from those of the adults, by providing such play activities we are fuelling a child’s imagination, allowing them to explore their creativity and setting them on the path to reaching their full potential.

From maths, science or literacy resources to support the core curriculum to craft kits, easels or art drying racks, preserving the little Picassos works of art, there is a huge range of school supplies which need to be catered for. Even musical instruments provide the freedom for young children to experiment with sound and become creative with the different tunes and noises they can make. Play-centred learning provides exciting and stimulating opportunities for children, and the more inspiring the educational resource are, the more they stimulate their senses and the better they learn.

Balancing the Books

Edusentials is a well-established supplier of school supplies and equipment across the UK.  We have a reputation within the industry for offering a first class service with a personal touch. Everyone at Edusentials strives to provide the right product for your needs at a price to suit your budget. With over 25 years’ experience working within this sector we have developed a reputable supply chain so we can offer you very competitive prices, allowing you to save money on your orders.

We are only too aware of the financial pressure schools are under.  It becomes increasingly difficult to maximise the budget available whilst ensuring the continued smooth running of the school. We are both sympathetic and understanding of your situation and genuinely work with you to ensure value for money on the purchase of the products you want and need.
